Romantic Engagement Session at Adriatica Village – A Touch of Italy in Texas


Tucked away in the heart of McKinney, Texas, Adriatica Village feels like a hidden slice of Europe—with cobblestone walkways, stone buildings, charming balconies, and waterfront views that transport you straight to a village in Croatia or Italy. It’s no wonder this location has become one of my favorite backdrops for capturing engagement portraits full of romance and timeless charm.

For this session, we wandered through the winding streets and arched passageways of Adriatica with a couple whose love radiated through every shot. The warm-toned architecture and elegant European-style details created a setting that felt like a destination photoshoot—without ever leaving Texas.

We began near the iconic bell tower and chapel, where soft sunlight poured in through the arches and gave everything a golden, dreamy glow. The couple shared quiet moments on ivy-lined staircases, strolled hand-in-hand by the water, and laughed together under the café lights and breezy balconies. Every corner of Adriatica offered something new—an old-world charm that framed their connection perfectly.

Their wardrobe complemented the setting beautifully. She wore a flowing, neutral-toned dress that moved gently with the breeze, while he chose a classic button-up that gave the session a polished yet relaxed feel. Together, they looked like they belonged in a romantic film set along the Amalfi Coast.

What made this shoot even more special was how natural and connected they were in front of the camera. It wasn’t about posing—it was about the quiet in-between moments: the forehead kisses, the spontaneous laughter, and the way they looked at each other like no one else was around.
